Haiti: LITTLE BIRDS Missions
RESCUING THE MOST VULNERABLE FROM HAITI’S COLLAPSE
LITTLE BIRDS 01–08 (ONGOING)

HELICOPTER / GROUND RESCUE & AID OPERATIONS
OPERATIONAL PLANNING & RAPID DEPLOYMENT
After securing communications with families and confirming U.S. visa approvals, Grey Bull Rescue deploys immediately. The team establishes conditions for complex ground movement and a high-risk air extraction utilizing rotary and fixed-wing aircraft. Families travel to Grey Bull Rescue headquarters in Tampa, where they observe the operation in real time alongside the Case Management team, while a team of Special Operations and Intelligence community veterans deploy to gang-controlled Port-au-Prince.
EXECUTION: PRECISION UNDER EXTREME RISK
The team maneuvers through hostile, gang-infested territory to reach the designated helicopter landing zone. Once the children are safely in Grey Bull’s arms, the radio call—“JACKPOT, JACKPOT, JACKPOT”—signals positive identification and custody to the families watching in real time from Tampa. The team exfiltrates by helicopter to a waiting private jet before flying directly to Tampa. The LITTLE BIRDS Operations demonstrate exceptional speed, discipline, and planning from the moment the children are adopted to their first embrace with their families in the U.S.
lasting impact
This mission successfully unites orphaned children with their adoptive American families, fulfilling promises made when no other options existed. The LITTLE BIRDS missions embody Grey Bull Rescue’s commitment to protecting the most vulnerable and remain among the most emotionally powerful operations for the team—where lives are saved, families are restored, and hope is delivered against all odds.
